Coach Ibrahim's Story: Disovering My Big Thing
Â
For over 20 years, I lived a life that many would consider successful. I climbed the career ladder, enjoyed a comfortable lifestyle, and found satisfaction in my work. Yet, despite these achievements, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing—a deeper calling that I hadn’t yet identified.
This sense of a greater purpose grew stronger over time. It became so compelling that I made the bold decision to retire from my secure government job. I was determined to pursue what I believed would be my dream life.
However, the initial excitement faded, replaced by a deep sense of loneliness and confusion. Without the support of a team or the structure of my previous job, I began to doubt whether I had made the right choice. Should I start a business? Write a book? Find another job? The path ahead was unclear, and I felt both frustrated and directionless.
But one thing was certain: I refused to sit idle. I knew that I was meant to do something impactful, something that would significantly improve my life and the lives of others. I just needed to figure out what that “Big Thing” was.
In my journey of self-discovery, I learned so much—about myself, about purpose, and about the importance of creating positive change. I realized that every one of us is meant to have a lasting impact—not just for ourselves and our loved ones, but to help others succeed as well. This idea of the "Big Thing" stemmed from this realization: that we each have a unique, significant project or purpose that can truly matter.
For me, the vision became clear. I want to influence 1 million ambitious individuals and leaders to start "Acting on the Big Thing." I envision this becoming a movement that inspires people to take meaningful action, create positive change, and help others do the same.
This realization sparked the idea for my book, "Acting on the Big Thing." It’s more than just a book; it’s a guide for anyone who feels stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed by their potential. It’s about helping people like you and me discover our most important project—the one that will truly have a lasting impact—and taking the necessary steps to bring it to life.
